Rules for a Biological Drawing
Most biological drawing artists follow the same set of
rules. It makes the drawings neat and easy to read. Follow these rules for your
biological drawings.
1. Use unlined paper.
2. Always use a pencil.
3. Print all words.
4. Have a 1" margin on all four sides.
5. Never cross labeling lines. All labels written horizontally.
6. Center the title at the top of the page and print in all capital letters.
7. The title should be the common name of the organism. (Example: Wolf)
8. Do very little erasing. No erasing is better.
9. Print your name, date, and period number in the lower right-hand corner.
10. If you use a
scientific name write it under the picture.
